About Me

At times, it can be overwhelming to navigate the rough waters that we encounter. I provide a safe and supportive therapeutic space to assist you on your life’s journey – wherever it may have taken you. I walk alongside you and listen intently and may use a therapeutic mirror to help you find your way towards deeper awareness and a higher potential.

My personal experience in therapy has been influential in how I work with clients. I know what it is like to be in the client’s seat and I acknowledge the vulnerability that it can take to seek support while experiencing difficulties. My intention as a therapist is to support you in consciously facing and moving through difficult or limiting experiences, so that you may emerge on the other side transformed. Through this inner journey, you may find that you cultivate a deeper sense understanding, acceptance and the freedom to live more enjoyably in the present moment. I work in a non-judgemental, compassionate, safe and empowering way while holding a therapeutic space that is warm, validating, respectful and supportive of growth. As a lifelong learner, I believe that some of the biggest challenges presented to us offer great gifts and opportunities for transformation.

Life is full of many twists and turns that provide various challenges as well as joys along the way.

Prior to completing a Master’s degree in Social Work at UBC Okanagan, I worked as a paramedic. This experience provided me with an insight into the many difficulties that people face at every phase in life. Counselling people during crises allowed me to discover my passion and ability to hold a therapeutic space that allowed people to navigate the emotional and physical difficulties that had been presented to them. I treasure the complex aspects of life and death and I am honoured by each journey that I get to witness. My intention as a therapist is to support you in consciously facing and moving through difficult or limiting experience, so that you may emerge on the other side transformed.

Further formal training includes completing a practicum at the Bill Nelems Pain and Research Centre where I was able to utilize my background as a kinesiologist and yoga teacher to provide clients with support. It was here that I learned about neuropathic pain and the emotional connection to chronic pain. I later became a student of Life Centered Therapy in order to provide a more holistic approach to therapy and help heal trauma that is physical, emotional, mental, relational or spiritual in nature. I utilize my range of education and experiences to provide individuals with a unique therapy method that is suitable to their situation.
